Hello,
I have just recently started to research my family whose surname is spelled
Quehl. Has anyone run into this spelling before and is it a variation of
Quayle? We have roots in Western Pennsylvania and Ohio. Any information is
welcome. Thank you,
Janet Houston
Hello,
From people on the Liverpool List this morning, I found out that my
ancestor, Elizabeth QUAYLE was born in 1830 in "Whitehaven." I had to
look up the name of this town, and found out it is located in Cumbria,
England - just north of the Liverpool area.
Elizabeth seems to have been one of several children born to Edward and Mary
QUAYLE. Does anyone know anything about them?
As per my other posting, in 1852 Elizabeth married Evan CORKILL / CORKILL in
Liverpool, England.

Hello,
I checked the archives of this List and see that it has been inactive for
quite a while. But, in case there are still Listers who belong to it, I'd
like to ask about my ancestor, Mrs. Elizabeth (QUAYLE) CORKILL / CORKILL.
My great-great-grandfather, Evan CORKILL /CORKHILL was born on the Isle of
Man in 1827, to John and Esther CORKILL, and he was one of ten children.
He was a Mariner, and I am told he was not living in Liverpool, England, in
1851. But, at the end of 1852 he married there.
Hello to All,
My wife Midge & I wish that you & yours may enjoy a Very Merry Christmas &
that the New 2002 Year will keep you Healthy, Happy & Prosperous.
My ISP will probably cease to operate from tomorrow when the creditors of
its parent company consider that company's insolvency, so I will
unsubscribe by next email.
However I thank you all for an enjoyable association & I hope to rejoin you
shortly.
Cheers
Harry
