Cousins and Friends,
I was searching the Daily World newspaper from Opelousas, LA this
morning on line and did a search on their site. You can but a name like
I inserted "Bushnell" and it brought up all stories with that name back
to the late 1990's. Doing this I did find some linds I did not have
reading the obit's there. It does not look like they have any farthur
back than the late 1990's online at this time.

I apologize for not getting back with everyone that has either signed my

Between geting my older daughter graduated last night and trying to keep
our house presentable and trying to get some medication regulated (ugh!),
etc., etc., etc., I haven't been able to focus very well at times.
Hopefully, this summer will be better!

Hello again cousins,
I spent the day yesterday finishing copying all the pages (that I could find) in the 1910 census of La. that had any Queb on it. Except for 2 entries in St. Martin Parish, all were either in Acadia or St. Landry Parish. I hope to get this info put on the "Queb page" sometime soon , but until then, if anyone has anyone they would like me to look up, let me know!
I hope each of you had a good Thanksgiving celebration with lots of family in attendance!
By the way, I am now tentative
I am seeking information about my wife's GGGGGrandmother. Her first name is
found as Thersille, Tersille, and Eusile in different documents (last name
Quebedeaux). She was born in October 1832 and died in 1918. She lived most
of her life in the Crowley, LA area in the Ebenezer community. Her husband,
Solomon "Saule" Jones, died in the Civil War in 1864. She had a son named
Nicholas "Colas" Jones (b: October 07, 1853 d: Abt. 1936 in Crowley, LA).
She may have had other children, as well.
Thank you for
I need help sorting out and correcting my limited information on Charles
Clerville (Terville?) QUEBEDEAUX, b. 15 Sep 1831 (Nicolas QUEBEDEAUX & Marie

wishing to exchange info on this group.
Thanks,

Hi Cousins,
Jean Q. (son of Lessaint) was my great-grandfather. One piece of info that I do not have and would really love to know is, what year did he die? I know he was born around 1866 and that he was married to Eva LACOMBE 16 Nov 1885. She died 18 Jul 1905 and is buried in Crowley, La, but I don't know when he died.
I would love to know if there are any other descendants of this line of QUEBs that are also doing research! My grandmother ended up spelling her name Kuibodeaux.

Hi Jeremy,
Great to know someone else is out there searching for K's & Q's. I just
posted a message looking for info on Charles Clerville QUEBEDEAUX who
married a JONES and is said to have served in Civil War with Solomon JONES.
This is all I presently have on Tersille (In Family Tree Maker format).
Hope it helps. Can't vouch for accuracy, as most of my info is from
secondary sources, but should give you a lead or two.

It really puzzles me that there is no documentation on the d.o.b. of Charles
Quibideaux.
Usually the record of his burial would have his age at time of death, but I
cannot find a record of his burial.
There is justification who question the 1750 d.o.b. mentioned in most,
including my database.
But if his father was dead by 1745, he could not have been the son of Joseph
Quibideaux dit l'Espagnol and Mariannne (Marie Anne) Antoinette (Antoine)
Beau (sometimes listed as Marie Lest).

Following is all of the information I have on Charles Quebedeaux s/o Joseph

respond.
Generation No. 1
Joseph QuC)bC)deaux dit l'Espagnol and Mariannne (Marie Anne) Antoinette

JOSEPH "L'ESPAGNOL"1 QUEBEDO was born Abt. 1700 in Paris, France? Malaga,
Spain? Canary Islands???. He met MARIE ANNE ANTOINE BEAU. She was born Bef.
1711 in Lest? Born Paris, France?.
The reason I have been trying to establish the correct date of birth of
Charles Quibideaux m. Marie Catherine Recuron is that records show that his
father Joseph Quibideau died in prior to the 1745 marriage of his daughters and
could not have fathered a child who was born on 3 February 1750 On
records of the marriages of two of his daughters in 1745...one records states that
her father was deceased, the previous one does not, both took place in 1745.
