4. Re: [QUEEN-SCOTLAND] Geography of emails [1]
Greetings all, I am the administrator of the "QUEEN-SCOTLAND" mailing list. I started this list in 2004 in the hopes of attracting the interest of Queens in Scotland and elsewhere in Europe. The hope was that this list would grow (by participation of Queens in/of Scotland) and that, as well as benefitting European Queens, perhaps a connection would be made between Queens in Scotland and Queens in America. Americans were discouraged from posting on this list since we have our own "QUEEN" mailing l
5. Re: [QUEEN-SCOTLAND] Research [1]
Hi Sharon, I reside in North Carolina, USA. From your UK address it appears that you live on our "mother" continent. May I have your permission to send a private e-mail to your address? Feel free to respond to my e-mail address or to this list. I'd like to chat a bit regarding possibilities, perhaps remote, of finding Queens in Scotland/Ireland to participate on this list. Oops, please tell us that you descend from a male Queen somewhere in the past. There must be one "Queen" in the UK who is in
6. Re: [QUEEN-SCOTLAND] Research [1]
Hi Gene, Up a bit late tonight, I have had two enquiries today about Queens in Scotland and Ireland. I know there is a lady looking in Wigtownshire for Queens also but will track her down through rootsweb. Queen does not seem a very popular name in Scotland so there are not many more census listings. I have a few more which I will put online. The problem is they all have the same first name and are about the same age it is all Owen, Patrick, James and the women are all Catherine or Elizabeth. I don't

8. Re: [QUEEN-SCOTLAND] Research [1]
Greetings Sharon, Thank you for your posts and your question. There are only a few persons subscribed to the list. When I originated it some years ago it was my hope that it would become an active list for Queens in Scotland and Europe. Regretfully, this has not been the case. After my retirement in a couple of months, I will try other ways to get the word out and encourage use of the list by our Scottish "kin". Gene ----- Original Message ----- From: "ITS SALES" To:

14. Re: [QUEEN-SCOTLAND] [QUEEN] Surname Queen [1]
Hi Sharon, I'm far from a wizard on this, so take it for what it's worth. My recommend is to check both Queen and McQueen. MacQueen may also be a possibility. We're speaking of Scotland in 1846...anyone have any clues concerning McQueen and MacQueen in Scotland in that time frame? Have the Mc's been around as long as the Mac's? Are we talking of apples and apples...or apples and walnuts? Gene ----- Original Message ----- From: "ITS SALES" To:

Hi Ron, I am not researching the family; however are you aware of the marriage of an Andrew C S Queen to a Jeanie B. Martin in 1919 per Scotlandspeople.gov? Interesting in that there is also an index listing of the marriage of an Andrew C S Queen to Jeanie B. Kyle in 1919 as well.
