Hello all/Bonjour,
I am new to the list and am just starting on my Quesnel line. I do not have
very much information. I have found a fair bit about Quesnel families at
the LDS website, but I do not know if my Quesnel's belong to those families.
I am looking for information about Joseph QUESNEL married to Elizabeth
LATREILLE. They had a son Francois Xavier QUESNEL (b. May 26 1899/ d. July
19, 1974). Francois and his family had moved to the Casselman area near
Ottawa, Ontario. I believe they were
Hello Listers
I found some great website addresses that may help you with your research,
I found them in a magazine, that has an article about genealogy, if you're
interested in my sharing these sites with you, then please contact me off
line.
Hi Diana,
Thank you for looking the family up. I have heard of this book before. Is
there any way of purchasing it from somewhere? My father-in-law spoke with
Albert Quesnel several years ago about some lost Quesnel's that returned to
France (he had encountered them when he visited a small town in France
called Canada). The last I had heard, Albert Quesnel was the president of
the Outaoais Geneological Society.
If there is anything else in the book that you think might be relevant, I

Hello I thought i would send a small note to the list explaining that i
will be leaving and will no longer be administrating this mailing list,
however i will stay on as a list member, there will be a new list
administrator for this list, from now on unless we come to an agreement and
talk things over about allowing me to administrate the list again one day,
but for now i will leave things the way they are, I guess it's time for me
to move on to greener pastures, and new things.
Hello Allen
my name is Corinne, it's very nice to meet you, if you need anything please
feel free to ask either Monique or myself, for assistance, I hope that you
will enjoy your stay on the Quesnel mailing list, & please post as many
messages as you want, because it will help the other list members in
tracing their family roots, you also may find a connection with another
member as well.
My grand5father Peter Marmie was apprenticed in 1768 to the merchant banking
firm of Plantes-Quesnel in Rouen , France. Shortly afterward, Julia, sister to
Louis and Prosper Quesnel married John Holker, Jr. who became consul in
Philadelphia later during the American Revolutionary War (1778). Julia never
left France. The firm survived the French revolution as Quesnel Freres. For
