Looking for the parents and wife of Henry Quick born 1774-75 in Marlborough Ulster County, New York. He resided there his entire life and was still living there in 1850. He had a number ofl children including Lewis and Eliza. Perhaps his father was one John Quick who was in the area in 1790. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks Glenn Wheeler

Anyone Can any of the Aquilla and George or Thomas Q researhers tell me their rank in the War of 1776 I just was talking to long time Genealogist (40years) and was told that the Land Grants received by the veterans of this war was awarded Land Grants according to their Rank What rank was Aquilla to have received 3500 +/- acres What rank was George to have receiveed 1000 acres What rank was Thomas (I don't know how many acres he received I have order his LG) If any one can help please let me know. Thanks for putting Mr. Thomas' letter on the list. I think this is an important clue as to the ancestry of our Quick family. I forwarded the message to the editor of the Darlington Flag, the newsletter of the Old Darlington Genealogical Society. He replied he would place it in the file to be available for future researchers in the library.

Fain is definately an Irish name. There seems to be three lines of QUICK surnames (at least). One is English (from England/Britian). The second is Dutch (from Naarden, Holland). The third is Irish. My line is the dutch line and I have run into snags in the Penn area alone as there are also irish Quicks in that area. Hi Everyone, I received a memo this morning from Emily and Bill O'Neal of GA. Bill is of Q descendant. They are trying to locate a Q by the name of FAIN QUICK, who was the father of Mary Ann Quick who married William Franklin Whitley. Emily ordered the death certificate and it list Fain as father but no mother. I am hoping someone out their can shed some light on the Quicks I am searching on. I have found in most places that I have searched that Aaron Quick married to Eleanor Steen list their children as, Mahaley, Virgil, Aaron T., Fletcher, Ellen, Malachi, Franklin. I have a document that list two other children, Loranzo Don and Randolph. I am a descendent of Randolph. I can do the search from Aaron to Solomon, but I can only rely on the documentation that I have from Aaron to Randolph. Would anyone else out

I am looking for the family of Mildred Virginia Quick. She was born in 15 January 1923 probably in Marlboro or Chesterfield County, SC. Her birth was recorded in an old family Bible but no remembers who her parents were or what became of her. It is very possible she is still living.
