Dear Patricia,
I've been away for a week and see you have several questions. I'll
answer the one in re the Kleins in a separate e-mail. I hardly know whether
to laugh or cry about the Waldensian monument in McEllhattan. It was put up
at the request of Henry W. Shoemaker, that old folklore rascal who belonged
to nearly every society known in Pennsylvania and elsewhere. There is not a
shred of truth in any part of the plaque. Michael Quigley (as Shoemaker

Hi All,
Wondering if any of you have heard of this -- The Quickel Annual for 2001 -
authored by Maxwell and Christina Quickel, Denver, CO. Supposed to trace
family and provide pics. My great-uncle, Jack Quickel, received a
solicitation to purchase this. If anybody knows anymore about this
publication, please let me know. My grandmother is interested in purchasing
it, but would like a little more information if possible.

Trudy,
I am descended from the same Phillip that Floyd mentioned. His son,
Peter, and family moved to Trumbull Co., OH, then on to Geauga Co., OH.
Nancy Quiggle Patton and Michael Quiggle stayed in Trumbull Co. Nancy is
my direct ancestor. I have a list of Quiggle marriages for both Trumbull
and Geauga. I can post them on the list if anyone thinks its of use.
