Jolanka,
I did a quick search for Mary Lou, the closest I came is one born in 1893 in
Boston.
It is interesting to me because I have a Mary Quigley I cannot find.
She was born in Cambridge MA in 1893 to John and Grace Quigley.
Sisters Helen, Jennie, Mildred and brothers Francis and Edward.
The only other clue I have for my Mary was she "married a scot" with a name
like McClelland.
I should probably go to Boston and look in the vital records files but I
just cannot get there maybe some day.
Good luc
Hi, I am searching for information on the family of Mary Lou QUIGLEY,
who was born circa 1924, possibly in New York or Massachusetts. She had
two brothers, John and Francis. Francis QUIGLEY served in the U.S. Air
Force and was posted in Texas during the 1960's.
Mary Lou QUIGLEY married Joseph FICHERA circa 1942 and had three
children. She is thought to have died in New York circa 1952. Mary Lou
had relatives, possibly an aunt and uncle or a brother or sister and
spouse, living on Nantucket Island
My great-grandmother was Elenor Quigley. She was probably born in Donegal
County, Ireland and came to St. John, New Brunswick, Canada in 1838 when she
was 7 years old. She was accompanied by her sister, Ann, who was 22 yeas
old and her brother, William, who was 17 years old. The names of their
parents are unknown. The three Quiglelly siblings sailed on the "Prudence"
from Londonderry, Ireland on 23 May 1838 arriving at St. John on July 11,
1838. By 1856, Elenor was in Jacksonville, Morgan Co., Illinoi
Looking for my gggg grandfather Francis Quigley who was born in Ireland in
1827, sailed to Philadelphia in 1848, settled in Wilmington, Delaware. Looking
for a Michael Quigley who sailed with him.

In hoping to find a connection, I am re-posting an email I sent in Nov 2007 in hopes of finding a connection.
Note, a John Quigley on this site also was good enough to add to what I had in 2007.
Thank you,
Pat

I am looking for the family of John Quigley and Bridget Quail from The

They had at least 3 children Martin, Patrick and Annie. Bridget died

Yea thanks, I wish I knew why my GGGG Grandfather Francis Quigley went to Pa
in 1848, Iwonder ifhe had relatives there. WE cant find where he came from in
Ireland only that he sailed in 1848 with a Michael Quigley. That's all we
know. He lived in Philly awhile and then on down to Wilmington , Delaware where
he worked in the gunpowder works at DuPont. We did have an Edward Quigley
who fought in the civil war from PA but that's all we know about him too,
thanks E Quigley

My Quigley's were Irish Catholic until pews dues then they stopped going
to church! Mine entered from Canada and my ggrandfather had the middle
name of Alonzo, which is definitely not Irish.

Hi list,
I thought It would be a good idea to put the address of my genealogy site www.quigs.co.uk
Perhaps list members could check to see if we have any ancestors in common.
Thanks
Colin
Don't know if this will help or not but there were a number of Quigley's in
Cumberland County PA, 1700 & 1800.s. They were Presbyterian.
Also a little history, the Northern Ireland immigrants were generally
Scottish Lowland Farmers who immigrated to Ireland during the reign of King James I
of England and King James VII (sixth or seventh) of Scotland, same person.
The year was about 1603 and about 100 years later when the protestants were
being persecuted in Northern Ireland, the immigrated to
Hi Colin,
I have enjoyed reviewing your site and wish you continued success with it.
This is to pick your brain and maybe get some direction in finding Quigley's
who
left Ireland sometime, who know when?
My Grandparents married in Virginia (now West Virginia) 03 Nov 1796 in their
late teens
and/or early twenties. Their wedding date is my "stonewall".
Can you recommend a data sourse for those who would have departed Ireland
prior to the
mid 1770's?
Thanks for your time.
