Hi There,
I will have to check with my mother Julie Ann Quinet to see what my grandmothers maiden name was. She past away before I was born so I do not know that much about her except that she was loved very much. My grandmother Elizabeth Jane Quinet was married
An interesting discovery I made a few weeks ago is that one of my
ancestors whose surname I thought was Quinnett, in fact turned out to be
Guinnet (one or two 't's) - a far more common name. The 19th century 'G'
could easily be mistranscribed as a 'Q'. This may open up avenues for
people researching the obscure Quinnet or Quinnett variants.

Dear Rootsweb Members:
I have been receiving messages through this Venue for
about two years, and I must say that even with the
information I received did not apply directly to my own
personal search, it has always been informative and
interesting.
Dear Jeverna,
Thank you for your prompt reply to my message. Of
course, I am interested in any information you might
have. We have recently added to our Quinette line, by
meeting with Marcie Centola in Florida last month. She
had more pictures of my Grandmothers family then we did.
We found our "link" was my GGrandmother, and her
GGgrandfather were sister and brother. I also learned
the name of their mother, thus a whole new generation to
work on. I would be very interested in seeing if and

I just returned from a research trip in Central Indiana.
I found -Marriage records of George and Nancy Glassburn Quinnette in Johnson

- marriage record of Zimri and Mary Jane Quinnette (daughter of George and

-property deeds of George Quinnette and some of his children.
- Cemetery records and pictures of George and Nancy Quinnette in Putnam Co.

It has been a long time since anyone has posted. If you get a chance over
the next few days. I would like everyone to post their trees as far as they
know and or who they are looking for. This will help us get the new year off

Hi Marcella -- You and I were e-mailing a couple of years ago. Just wanted to hear from you. Hope all is well with you and your family.
This is my home address and it would be nice to hear from you. Wondered if you were still working on our ancestry.

I received this and I am forwarding it to this list. According to the List administrators mailing list this is a done deal. However they are trying to assure us that there will never be a charge for these mailing lists. I will keep you posted as information comes my way.

Welcome Nice to see you on the list. I know Marcy Roberts is signing up today and rochelle should be also. I found a definate connection to Marcy Roberts so Rochelle Marcy and I are definately related. Sometime geonology by pictures is fun.
I have looked over the report you sent me and nothing seems to junp out and connect. None of the names even the first names are familiar. Maybe we are connected on the other side of the pond. The only similarity I see is that the family liked to change the
Since this is a new list It would be nice if everyone submits a basic outline of the information they have on their Quinet's. This will put the information into the archives so fufure Quinet researchers may find us. Also I will be visiting with Rochelle next saturday and I will post my information after that meeting. I hope to have my Quinet's a little closer to organized at that point.

The original spelling of my family name was Quinet and sometimes apparently
Quinette. It has also been spelled as Quinnett and Quinnette. My family came
to the United States directly from France in about 1832. So far I do not
know what part of France they came from, except that one of the children
seems to have been born in Paris (see Joseph-Pierre below). These are the
members of that first family who came here from France:

Sorry, I can't connect with any of them. The must have come over with Leif

Marcie,
It will take me awhile to get to that, and awhile to put it together, of
course.
But I'll get there!
