Humphrey Quesenberry (1670, VA) was married to Elizabeth Mothershead. Elizabeth is the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Bachelor) Mothershead. Elizabeth Mothershead has a brother, John Mothershead, b. abt 1688 in Virginia who married an Ann Quisenberry of Westmoreland, Virginia. Need to know who this Ann's parents were.
The only other Ann Quisenberry I have in my database is the daughter of William and Agnace (Morton) Quisenberry, and the dates are wrong - and she married Ralph Dickinson.
Thanks, Lenore
I have found a conflict I'm hoping someone can solve with some authenticity:
"The Mothershead Family" by M.R. Davis states that Humphrey Quisenberry (Quesenberry), born in Virginia about 1670 (and married to Elizabeth Mothershead) was the son of Humphrey and Mary (Muse) Quisenberry.
"Colonial Families of the United States, Vol. I", edited by George Norbury Mackenzie, pg 424 states that this Humphrey (b. 1670) was the son on John and Anne (Pope) Quessenbury; and that this John was the son of Thomas Questen
Another sibling of Elizabeth Mothershead (md to Humphrey Quesenberry), George Mothershead (b. abt 1684) married a Mary Quisenberry with children as follows:
John, Alvin, George, Jemima, Ann (b. abt 1698), Penelope, and Mary.
So, here we have three of John and Elizabeth (Bachelor) Mothershead's children marrying into the Quisenberry family.
Elizabeth Mothershead to Humphrey (1670, Westmoreland, VA) Quisenberry
John Mothershead to Ann Quisenberry of Westmoreland, VA.
George Mothershead (b. abt 1684) to M

Sorry--I have only 1= pages from the book, on Thomas BURRIS of VA--served
with a VA Co. in the Revolutionary War; m Frances TANDY, a descendant of
Edward Colby, who d. at Jamestown, 1620. Except for Thomas BURRIS's
military history, there's little of his family, and only one child, Jane,
who m Rev. James Quisenberry, is mentioned.
Hi, All,
A couple of years ago, thinking it might be my hubby's line, I ordered the Quisenberry-Burris pages, excerpted from the History of the Haggard Family, by Jennie Ray Haggard, pub 1938 at Dallas, TX.
Subsequent research has shown no link to the Thomas Burris line, in the text, and hence, no reason for me to retain this excess paperwork. For an SASE, I'll happily send them to whomever can use them.
Julie, endlessly sorting out dead relatives.....

Hi folks,
does anybody know more about the situation of the Mennonite church in Buenos
Aires? I was wondering since I saw that someone is trying to find a
Mennonite Church record that got lost in Buenos Aires.
If you are interested: This is the page I read about it:
www.janzen-jantzen.com/studienreisee.html
I write this on this list because this list has a typical Mennonite name. I
am sorry if it does not concern you.
