I would like to ask, are you a RABB descendant? The fact this line goes back to Russia is of interest as there is a Rabb family in Tamarac, Florida as well. From what I was told, their Rabb name was a derivation of a another name, in any case it went from a LONG RUSSIAN name to RABB. they are listed on the immigrant list on Ellis Island where the Statue of Liberty is located. The John Wesley Rabb you refer to was from Fayette County, Texas. He was the son of John and Mary (Crownover) Rabb, grandson of William and Mary (Smalley) Rabb, and the great-grandson of Andrew and Mary (Scott) Rabb. Andrew Rabb (1740-1804) was a miller in Fayette County, Pennsylvania. William Rabb brought his large family to Texas in 1822. Good luck with your research.
