year. New names have been added to the First World War Honours Roll.
Today, here in the UK and in some of the Commonwealth countries around the
world, is Remembrance (Armistice) Day. Every year on the eleventh hour of the
eleventh day in the eleventh month we remember those who gave their lives in

I gathered a lot of Radford data from Floyd and Franklin Cos., VA a few
years ago and I show Samuel Radford as son of James (born about 1768 and
died between Jan. 15 and Apr.7, 1851 in Franklin Co.) and Mary Radford.
I could find very little on the James and Mary. One place said that
his father may have been John Radford and he may have had a brother
named John.
Franklin County Deed Book 2, Page 341, dated March 31, 1792, is a deed from John Radford of Franklin County conveying to James Radford of s

Elizabeth RADFORD, born ca 1726, Henrico Co VA. daughter of John
RADFORD and Elizabeth MAXEY, married (date unknown) William BLACKBURN.
This was during a period when counties were organizing rapidly, so it
could be Goochland, Albemarle, Cumberland or later Buckingham Co. The
general area was Southam Parish.
I am particularly interested in their children and the parents of
William, but any information is welome.
Thank you and best wishes,
