Thanks to Nona Williams I was able to contact Homer C. Ragsdale Jr., about the
pedigree chart titled "Some Ragsdale's Went West, 1615-1940" that was
submitted to the LDS Family History Library. (film # 1597807 item 39) Mr.
Homer C. Ragsdale, Jr. told me that he was not the author of this chart. The
following is a copy of a letter addressed to the Director of the the Family
History Center that I received from Mr. Ragsdale.

Homer C. Ragsdale Jr. submitted a pedigree chart titled "Some Ragsdale's Went
West" to the LDS Church in 1991. (film area 1597807 item 39). Does anyone
have current information on Homer C. Ragsdale Jr. or documantation on this
chart?
I am trying to find out info on the John RAGSDALE that appears on the 1780 Tax
list for Montgomery Co., NC. Does anyone have any info on him? I am trying
to find where my John RAGSDALE of Claiborne Co., MS came from. I believe he
is of the Godfrey RAGSDALE line, but still trying to put pieces together.
Thanks!!

I am searching for any information regarding an ancestor named John
Ragsdale. He was born in approximately 1825 somewhere in Tennessee. He
married Elizabeth Campbell Shipman in approximately 1850 and died sometime
between 1850 and 1860 in Montgomery County, Arkansas.
Thank You, David Ragsdale
Bill,
I have a copy of that chart. It is rather large and starts with Godfrey
b. 1615 in Nottinghamshire. There is no documentation on the chart
except one reference to "Elijah Ragsdale" Lineage Book and the Lineage
Book, "Godfrey Ragsdale" I do not find a Homer Ragsdale on it either,
but then the copy of got from the LDS did not come forward to the
present time.

I am researching my gg grandmother Sarah Ann Ragsdale. I have
conflicting information on who her parents may have been.
I have them listed as William Ragsdale and Pamelia Milam. But have
nothing to back that up. I also have seen her parents listed as
Elizathan Ragsdale and Elizabeth Moore. Her death certificate shows
Elzathan and Elizabeth. The information was given by my great
grandfather. My second cousin who is 92 remembers Sarah and the fact
that she was proud to be a Ragsdale and that Pamelia Milam was
I've added a web page for Ragsdales in South Carolina. If you're interested
in that area, please take a look. If you have any additional information for
the page, please let me know. Thank. -Nona http://www.rof.com/gene
