I've been attempting to research my family's ancestry for months, but all I seem to learn about Ramers is that most of them are in Pennsylvania and Arkansas. Hi Tiffany,
do you by any chance have a Sylvia Mae Ramer on file? She was born 1926 Volusia County, FL and was the daughter of Given Ramer, born IL, he died in KY.
Sylvia was married 1 Aug 1948 in KY and seems to have moved to CA in the early 1950s. Please email me for more details.
Thanks,
Mary-Ann

As a RAMER/RCMER/RAYMER family researcher for nearly 40 years, I have been very aware of the five major lines carrying these names that were in PA prior to 1750, as well as significant lines in N.C. and KY that are thought to be somehow connected to these lines.
If you have the birthdate and place of birth of your Grandfather George Ramer it would be helpful. If he is deceased the date and place of death should allow you to obtain a copy of his death certificate which may contain the name of his parents.
