7. [REED-L] Reed-Miner Connection in Guilford Co., NC [1]
When JULIA ANN REED & ABNER PACE married in Guilford Co. in 1843, the bondsman at their wedding was a RICHARD MINER/MINOR. Since the bondsman at a marriage was usually (but not always) connected to the bride's family, I think the Miner connection might be with Julia Ann Reed. In 1838 a LUCINDA MINER/MINOR married a JESSE REID/REED in Guilford Co., NC. (bondsman John Reid, so here the connect is to the groom, so the rule doesn't always hold). Is anyone researching this Reed-Miner/Minor connection? Bet
