Pat & List, In the History of Preble County, Ohio (Cleveland, OH: H. Z. Williams & Bro., 1881), the author gives ALEXANDER RHEA's birth date as 4/27/1824, and his residence in 1881 as Greenwood Co., Kansas, in which Severy, Kansas is located, the town where GEORGE WASHINGTON RHEA's funeral was held in 1917. Preble Co., Ohio, marriage records indicate that ALEXANDER RHEA married MARY ANN PATRIK/PETERS (?), Feb. 28, 1848. Thus ELIZABETH RITTENHOUSE, the mother of GEORGE WASHINGTON RHEA, was a second wife.
