My mother who also lived in Kansas had a seizure and a heart attack on Thanksgiving evening. She died on Saturday, 25 Nov 00, in Salina. She was a Rhea descendant. I have a Jeremiah, born about 1793 married Nancy Morris. Jeremiah was the son of Col. Jesse Ray of Ashe Co., NC (near VA and TN) and Eleanor (Nellie) Baker. Jesse and Eleanor's children were Elizabeth, William (named for the grandfather), James, John, Nancy, Jeremiah, Larkin, Mary, Hiram, and Jennie. I know this is an earlier Jeremiah but I've never seen this first name used in any other Ray family. Some of the descendants of this line moved to Texas. Yesterday afternoon they transferred her to Meadowbrook Rehabilitation Hospital, 427 West Main Street, Gardner, Ks. 66030 If you of the Rhea Family Association, and/or the rest of the Rhea's would like to send her a Christmas card, I am sure she would appreciate it. Her stroke was concentrated on the total left side of her body. She can move but cannot feel it. Her sight is affected also
