Pat this hold some hope as
I noticed your post to Pat. I am trying to trace down the Rhea family in Mo
also. Would like to see if there is any connection. The James Rhea and family
that I am looking for came from TN just around 1850 give or take a yr. James
Rhea was married to Elizabeth Tipton. They were traveling with adult children
and their goal was Oregon. But they spent a bad winter in KS so some of the
younger family members did go on to Oregon but James his wife and widowed
daughter and her young family went first to Ben
Pat this is interesting. Is his birth date 1850. The data base runs
from1772-1890. Is there any other information that I can extrapolate from
this info??? Dr. Bob!

Pat this hold some hope as the Name Harriet is often mentioned in my
antedotal references to anncestor but I have eliminated her as my Gr-Great
grandmother who is Hattie Redwine/Rhea. It's possible, even likely that the
this is my John L. Rhea middle name Lawrence He had a brother James Harvey Rhea both from the same area as R.C. Fremon's family. They were related.
John L was first married to Mary A. Turner, after her death in Cherokee Co Ks. he married Margaret Anna Clarissa Eidson.

To cerjr and anybody else who may be interested,
The James Harvey Rhea who was born in Sangamon Co., IL in 1846 and married
Elizabeth Amanda Boykin was my great grandfather. I will happily trade notes
with anybody who is interested in them. That Rhea family had three children,
Minnie Warren Rhea, Fred DeWitt Rhea, and Ralph Roy Rhea. Only Fred got
married, to Effie Jane Mittan of Farmer City, IL.
Please let me know if you are interestad.
Regards, Dick Fremon
Pat these are my ancestors. My John L. Rhea married Hattie Redwine
grand-daughter or grand niece of the Harriett. My Grandfather, John L.'s
son Robert's middle name is Wuley named after this Redwine Wiley.
Also I don't know what L. stands for. We have thought it might be Lawrence,
but we have no evidence. Thanks for the list of Redwines.I have not been
able to find the place or exact date of John L. and Hattie. We think Ky,Tn,
Va. NC or even Ala.

Age wise, those census records were only as good as the person who gave the info. Sometimes people were not at home, and the census taker guessed.

A Long Shot, but I wonder if there might be some connection. My John L Rhea
b. 1868 was a railroad man as well. There were some connections with MO as
one of his daughters lived there for some years. Your Charles would be in
the general age range of his father who I have little informarion. What do
you think? Dr. Bob Rhea/Ray/Barnes
