Good morning!
Before I forget...I was watching Biography the other night when they
were doing the "Dukes of Hazzard" and they mentioned that the person who
played the wife of Boss Hogg (Lulu) was/is named Peggy Rae.
That may be useful knowledge to someone...?!

Good Morning.
I just found all of the information that I shared with someone on line with
all of the dates and names (right or wrong) listed. Very depressing to
think that I share all of this and after spending countless hours,
eyestrain, and $ to research and to not even get a mention.
I am interested in the Family of Simeon S. RAY...some places him married to
Sally JENNINGS, to Amelia SIMMONS. Does anyone have first hand knowledge
of Simeons wifes name? I promise not to use the information without a
Hi:
Would it be possible for you to snail-mail me any other information you may
have on Elijah Walden Rhea? Or did you just find the reference you quoted
from Oregon Pioneers?
Some of my Jesse Rhea's children went from Monroe Co., TN to Oregon and got
land grants as first settlers. They were some of those who traveled The
Oregon Trail. Wiley Rhea and Louis Rhea were their names and they married
Humphrey sisters. I have a good bit of information on them.
We have never been able to tie Elijah in to eit

My reply to "Polly Dixon & List" on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001 has an error in
the last sentence of paragraph 2. It should have read: "...and would have
been 41 if he was married...," not 4.

This is very interesting to me, and reading through this, it looks like you
need to research "Balch" in Rockingham and Augusta County. That might give
you some clues to this early relationship.
I'm interested in Elizabeth Rhea who married Martin Coyner, which is why I
watch this list. I live in Lane County OR ~
My father was born in Wasco County, which is on the Columbia. Wasco was a
large original county and took in most of eastern Oregon at one time. Can't
think off the top of my head when that chan
Hi Pat,
I don't know anything about Noah Turk but I would bet you money that he is
one of the Augusta County Turks that we know about through their Rhea
connections. Regards, Dick
Does anyone know who this Elijah Rhea is?
Post to the list.

Polly Dixon & List,
Polly, thanks for remembering. I draw a blank on this one. All I can do is
guess, and that can be dangerous! But here goes:
If Robert Rhea was the father of Elijah Walden Rhea, and Elijah was born in
1824 as reported by the woman in California, that would place Robert's birth
somewhere between 1780 and 1802. I know, with one or two exceptions, the
marriages of the Robert Rheas of that era who descended from the William,
Archibald, & Robert Rhea brothers. Robert's son, Robert, J

What are you looking for regarding info on Elizabeth Rhea and Martin Luther
Coyner? We have several on this list that are direct descendants of this
family.
I think that it is interesting that my second cousin and I are related to
William Rhea. and that her husband is related to Robert Rhea his brother. She
of course did not know this when they were married. He is the direct
descendant of the above couple.
