Do your roll call just like this. Dates are not necessary at this time. Just want to see whose line you all are in? Especially newbies. 4. RE: [RHEA] Re: Evans, Snider, Rhea [1]
Could be the son or grandson of the original member of my line of the Rhea family to immigrate to America, Rev. Joseph Rhea. He died in 1777 in Maryland and his widow and younger children moved with an older son, John, to the frontier of Tennessee. He had a son Joseph, b: 1762 and married 1789. I could be him. I will check my files when I get home tonight and let you know what I find out. -----Original Message----- From: Patricia Hall [mailto:patriciahineshall@msn.com] Sent: Wednesday, March 12, 2003 10

Rhea list I have been trying for several months to make a connection between my Great Aunt Minnie (Leiss) Rhea and a unknown Rhea which I had known first name. All I knew was that Minnie married a Rhea date not known. OK. This was in 1906 the year that John Leiss died. I did find in the 193

12. [RHEA] Re: Evans, Snider, Rhea [1]
this was sent to me by a fellow researcher on my Ashcraft, Evans line. Do we know who this Joseph Rhea was? The 1790 property tax list for Monongalia Co., VA shows that John SNIDER owned two female slaves. In 1799, John SNIDER discovered his nineteen year-old slave, Sarah, was infected with venereal disease. She was taken to Dr. MARCHAND to be treated. Three months later, in September 1799, he sold Sarah to Joseph RHEA. After the sale, RHEA discovered she was infected. He then sued for $300. At court,
