Norma,
I have quite a bit on the Koiner, Coyner family. Would like to see what you
have. You know I have a cousin on this list, that is related to Martin
Luther Coyner through marriage. My cousin and I are related to William, and
her husband through Robert.
You will find the References and notes interesting when I get to them. They
give alot more info then you would think.

If the testimony of one Edward Mason is accurate (see below), Archibald
"Senior" had died by the time Archibald Reagh sold the land originally
purchased in 1753. The most obvious evidence for a senior Archibald was the
use of the designation "Junior" in the deed of 1758 and the mortgage deed of
1783. Secondly, an Archibald "Roaugh" was in the Augusta County militia in
1746, and old enough to pay the wolf levy [Ref.7]. If this was Archibald
Junior, he would have been seventy-nine or older at his death
6. Robert Rhea was born in 1759, and died October 31, 1834 in Pocahontas
County, Virginia, now West Virginia.[67]After three years of separation, in
1796 he divorced his first wife, Martha Meek, daughter of Thomas and
Agnes/Nancy Meek,[72]and sister to Elizabeth, the wife of his brother, James.
The grounds were adultery and desertion.[174] There were five
children:(1)William Rhea, October 30,1782-March 2, 1855,[175]who married
Elizabeth Boiler, sister to Catherine, his father's second wife,February 24,

This may be another tie to Augusta County (see below) ~ Rev. John Brown was
actually a German Reformed minister at a popular church (Timber Ridge) just
over the Augusta County border in Rockingham near the home of Martin Luther
Coyner and Elizabeth Rhea Coyner ~ two of his daughters married sons of
these Coyners. He was a very much loved minister in that area for many
years, over 40. German Reformed is considered Presbyterian in nature, as
opposed to German Lutheran, although they many times shared ch
