I just noticed there are two rivers named Owenreagh, one in the Republic
of Ireland in County Kerry near Killarney, and the other across the border
into Northern Ireland east of Donegal Town. This second river is near
Omagh in County Tyrone.
Does anyone know how these rivers got their name? Was there a
relationship between an Irish Owenreagh (or Owen Reagh?) and the Rheas
that went to America, many settling about 200 years ago in Tennessee?
I know that some Rheas originally had the name Reagh in Ir

Advice Books, Cookbooks, Fashion Books, etc.Printed sources from the time
period in which your ancestor lived can be a great source of insight into the
social history of the era. Consulting period cookbooks to gain a small
understanding of what life was like for women in various time periods is a
favorite research technique of mine. The descriptions sometimes are more
about what the author thinks women should be doing if they were more informed

genealogical research and social history research you can fill in the gaps
and tell the real story of your female ancestor - how she lived, wh
