I find this posting very interesting as John Rae/Ray of Warren Co., TN.,
apparently had a daughter named Mary who married a Brazeal/Brezzal. I
don't know his given name. She is shown as one of the aunts of Dicy Ray,
daughter of Aaron Ray and granddaughter of John Ray. In the various
records Ray has been spelled many different ways, i.e., Rhea, Ray, Rae,
etc., but seem to be all the same family. Don't you think these
spellings are very close to your Brazell?
The name of this Mary Brezzal is shown
George Washington Rhea's father, James, was the son of Robert and
Elizabeth (Rhea) Rhea, the grandson of William and Mary? (Gay) Rhea and
of James and Elizabeth (Meek) Rhea, his mother's parents, and the
great-grandson of William and Elizabeth (Clark) Rhea.

I would like to THANK ALL of YOU in helping me. This was very hard to get
past. I looked at the book Tennessee Cousins by Worth S. Ray. All, I could
get out of this book that a Pherby married Elijah Drake. But, I knew that
there could be more than one Pherby out there. I will try to find the
Ray-Rhea book.
Thankyou again,

My guess is that you're going to find that your Phereba Ray is more
closely related to the John Rae and Polly (Mary) Bolin (Bolling) of
Warren Co., TN., than any of the other Rays in the area. This John is
the likely son of James and Joannah Rea of Henry Co., VA. I am still
working on this relationship. Probably this John Rea lived for a time in
Patrick Co., VA., and later maybe somewhere in North Carolina maybe
Chatham Co., NC., and then moved to Warren Co., TN. He was, as is said,
a Baptist min

I am looking on info on Phereba Ray/Rhea. For short, I will call her Pherby.
She is my ggggreat grandmother. I think that she was born before 1800 in Va.

Edna,
What a wonderful world this would be if people could take such advice to
heart. I have been married nearly 49 years to a woman that I am still very
much in love with.
Nobody ever sat me down and gave me the advice in your treatise. But, my
parents lived it. As I read your advice, I realize how much of that behavior
rubbed off on me.
Thanks mom and dad.
Regards,
Bill in Orlando
I picked this up from one of the previous postings. This Fareby Rhea
would appear to be somehow related to the John Rae/Ray of Warren Co., TN.
I cannot be sure but there is certainly an Ezekiel Hudson listed as a
relative of William Gantt Perkins who married Dicy Ray, dau of Aaron Ray
and granddau of John Rae/Ray.
In an e-mail from marchpubs@juno.com (Charla A. Marchione) about Grainger
Co., TN., marriages, I found this: Ezekiel Hudson and Fareby Rhea,
3/3/1801, Moses Rhea, bondsman.

Hello, this is Penny Ferguson in London KY and a bunch of us are stuck on
Febra Rhea. She is suppose to be an Indian that the Rhea family raised and
then John Rhea, one of the sons married. This all happened in what is now
Hancock Co. TN and we are very stuck on this family and can not tie them in
with any other Rheas/Rays. Your name Phereba seems so close to our Febra.
Time period is around 1800. What do you think?
