2. Re: [RHEA] Congratulations on finding all your Rhea Families [1]
Polly, I saw a real reduction in messaging after the 9-11 bombing. And most lists just never recovered. I had the KsMiami, the MoBates, Eidson, and Silvertooth. I gave those back to rootsweb. I will keep the Rhea list, no one has to worry about that. But I would like to see more people using the list. Sharee, there was a Henry Rhea living about two or three doors down from the Creech family, in that census. Pat . ----- Original Message ----- From: "Polly Dixon" To:

Polly Dixon & List, In a post to RHEA-L by Polly Dixon dated Sept, 22, 2003, she stated that "The name of Col. Stephens' wife has not been established, but may have been Bethia/Bethiah//Bilkiah Shaw. It is well documented that Mary Stephens, a daughter of Col. Jehu Stephens, married Robert Reagh/Rhea, Jr., the son of Robert Sr. & Sarah (Bingham) Reagh/Rhea. Who was the mother of Mary Stephens? 12. [RHEA] Public Health records [1]
I also have not posted to the list in a very long time. I have a question related to health records....My grandfather was purported to have died of "Consumption" (these days we call it TB) in 1927+/- . Were there Public Health records then? I have not had much luck with searches. I know people were treated in Sanitariums for many years in the past, but was treatment mandatory like it is now? Just trying to find the path not yet taken... Excuse my intrusion, Joe...but you just knocked me out of my seat. My grandmother was a Hennegar. I didn't think I would ever see that name come up and it just slapped me in the face. I know very little about it. If you would care to write me off this list about that family...Pat, is it OK for him to do that? Hi Pat, I'm still trying to connect my James Ray/Rhea and his son Jesse to my OTHER Rhea line: Archibald Rhea Sr., Robert Rhea Sr., Robert "Robbie/Bobbie Rhea, Jr. I keep thinking someone new to the list will log on and have the answer! Maybe one reason the list hasn't been very active lately is the recent increase in viruses and worms. During an especially bad week in early September I rec'd about 300 (they were caught by my antivirus protection and deleted). It got to the point where I hated to chec

Although I have posted this query before, this seems to be a good time to do so again since there is so much activity on this list. Does anyone have any information about a RAY family residing in Huntsville, Madison County, AL ca 1800 - 1835 with a son named William Henry RAY? According oral family history my husband's ggrandfather, William Henry RAY, was born there around 1820-1822; and when William Henry was very young, his father died. His mother re-married and soon thereafter, she died. Aft
23. Re: [RHEA] Laura Creech [1]
Thank you, yes. This is his second wife, Sarah Hartman Dodson Creech. This is the 1880 Hamblen Co TN Census. I have Benjamin pretty well nailed down...have yet to find his father for sure, but his wives and children. Just don't know where Sarah Creech Rhea came in. If you will note, the Laura listed here has "A" for her middle initial...her name would most likely not have been Laura Sarah anyway, one wouldn't have thought. Of course she could have taken her real mother's name or her stepmother's name wh

Sheree, Post what you have about Sarah Creech Rhea and lets see if we can find some info for you. Please include dates and places. Also her husband and children would also help. To the List: I have no intentions in letting this list go. Its been in existance since 1996 when I started it, and hope its still here for along time. We all need to be sharing any new information we find whether it applies to our Rhea's or not. Pat
