One of our list members was kind enough to remind me that part of the
problem with attachments is long messages.
Two things sometimes happen with long messages that can cause problems.
First, some email programs will automatically take a long message and
convert it to an attachment. And some Internet service providers,
commercial and other, will either reject a long message (Juno does this or
used to do this), or convert the message to an attachment (AOL used to do
this, maybe still does).

Fran Sawyer asks for information about the marriage of Edmond Richmond and
Huldah Frisbie. Her account differs in just enough particulars to suggest
separate source material from Joshua Bailey Richmond's.
Joshua Bailey Richmond in 1897 self-published "The Richmond Family 1594-1896"
(available from Higginson, or as LDS microfilm 301121), a large genealogical
volume.
JBR states that "Edmund6 Richmond [page 138, #780] (Ephraim5, Silas4,

Updating my message from a few weeks ago, the corrected URL for my on-line
descendancy and ancestry reports is:

This will lead you to my personal home page table of contents and then you
can follow it to my family history/genealogy page. The sites linked to
from this page give a good general idea of the names which I have in my
database. Two of the sites take either my ancestry or my wife's ancestry
back as far as we have information for. The other two sites take one of
Hi Everyone,
Just a reminder to all subscribers to the lists I manage on RootsWeb. DO
NOT send attachments to the list address.
If you have something that requires attachments and it might be of general
interest, post a short note to the list and ask people to let you know if
they want the information. Then send them the attachment by private email.
There are still some email programs out there that get totally messed up
with attachments. This is one of my very few hard and fast rules, NO
attachments

Dear All,
At long last our family tree is now on line! It is still not complete
as the notes will have to wait until I have the $10 to register my copy
of "Gedpage", but that great little program is well worth it, can you
imagine writing over 5,000 html's by hand?
There are 11,903 individuals on this tree, check it out, some of them
may be yours, too!
Enjoy! and if you find people who are yours, good! If you know of
people I should have on here, please write!
Welcome to the month of October, 1997. Certainly seems that this year has
been going by way too fast.
If you are subscribed to more than one list that I manage you are getting
this message once for each list. Sorry for the repeats, but it's just an
easier way for me to do things.
I am trying to serve two purposes with this message. First, I want to make
sure you all realize this list is still around since none of these lists I
manage is very active.
Second, I want offer some reminders. Keep in mind

Your administrative msg reminded me that I have been "lurking" on the
Richmond-L for many moons without posting. Although most RICHMOND researchers
seem to be concerned with the New England bunch, there are other lines, mine
being one. For many years my Ancestors resided in Peterborough, as well as
various parts of Northamptonshire & Rutland before coming to America following
the Civil War. Researchers are invited to view the Family Group Sheets at
my website.

Just a reminder message for anyone on the BEERS, GODFREY, KERN, MONROE,

One of my wife's lines is the Richmond family which married into her
Godfrey family. I've included some brief information on 3 generations of
Hiram Richmond's descendants. I'd be interested in getting more
information on the families of his children, other than Matilda. Matilda
is my wife's g-g-grandmother and I can offer fairly detailed information on
her family.
