I am looking for anyone that may be researching the ROBINSON line in MS and AL, mainly in the Newton, Clarke, Jasper, Lauderdale counties of MS and adjoining counties of AL, particularly Choctaw Co., AL. She said that it really bothered her because she did not know if it meant the color of the skin. She found out later from her grandmother that she referred to herself as "Black Dutch" because it meant the color of the soil in the Netherlands where her family was from. Her mother's name might have been Eliza (or Harriet) Cove who was married in Westmorland ~1838.
