We are asking for gedcoms with sources where possible so that we may find the connection and add him to our database. I began this journey 20 years ago with myself and now ha

I have tried before for help with this query. I have been searching for William James Rogers, my great great grandfather for a long time now. He was born in 1848-49, and according to all census returns and my grandfather, he came from Hertfordshire. Possibly in one of the villages with the name of Hadham. However although I have searched the records I cannot find his birth. I have a number of birth certificates in the name of William Rogers, but none is the correct one. His father was William Rogers

Hi Snowy Alberta!! My Rogers family were in Myddle in Shropshire in the 1600s. Richard Rogers was a tailor there. His name appears in a book written by Gough who wrote about Myddle. Apparently he had a dispute over his seat in church with another landowner!! I visited the village and it was very interesting to sit in his seat in church as I was lucky enough to arrive on their 500 year anniversary when they had dug out the seating chart. The names Thomas, Joseph, John and Richard keep coming up. Probably the
