2. [RossGen] Leaving [1]
Dear Lists, I have given this much thought, and I have decided that I must unsubscribe from all three lists in order to fulfil my commitments to FreeCen as coordinator for Ross and Cromarty, and as Co-Coordinator for Lanarkshire. I simply cannot manage to help the 30 (and growing) people who have agreed to transcribe in my counties, and wade my way through approximately 600 emails per week. Once I have fulfilled my commitment to FreeCen, I hope that I will be able to re-subscribe to the lists, and take up a

8. [RossGen] Margaret MUNRO [1]
I am still searching for Margaret MUNRO who married Richard Brown in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia in February 1855. Her place of birth is given as Rossshire on her marriage certificate etc. I have tried to follow the Margaret MUNRO who arrived as an assisted immigrant in 1854. She came from 'Easther, Rossshire' aged 19 years, travelled alone, according to the shipping documentation. If so her parents were Donald and Marion. I have not found this Margaret, but must admit I have found others who don'

11. [RossGen] CLARK - Dingwall [1]
My GGGrandparents were Donald Clark, Cabinet maker in Dingwall (1803-1843), & Mary Fraser (1818-1888). Married near Beauly - 1835, both are buried in St Clements Graveyard Dingwall, but I am having trouble finding their offspring - John or James Clark. Mary Fraser remarried Hector MacKenzie and lived at (1881 census)- 5 George Street, Dingwall and died at Conon Bridge. Does anyone have access to Dingwall census info for 1841 or later. Is the Dingwall Archive centre worth a visit, does it hold more than cen

19. [RossGen] Dingwall MacKenzies [1]
Hello- I am looking for census info for- Christina/Christian/Christy Mackenzie, [born June 17, 1829] Dingwall, Ross & Cromarty, Scotland. She might be listed in censuses as being born about 1832-35. Her parents were, I believe, Coll/Colin MacKenzie and Christian MacKenzie. Christina married Alexander MacDonald in 1854, so she was most likely still at home or working for a Sutherland family.
