I understand that recruitment was done in England for the South African Constabulary. Does anyone know anything about this, or have ancestors who came to South Africa in this way?

Does anybody out there have a passenger list for the immigration ship 'Lady of the Lake' that departed London on 23 March 1848 for Port Natal arriving Durban 21 June 1858 with Natal British Settlers.
I am specifically Looking for the Names of a large group of people from theHillary family.
Thanks, Edward Hillary.

Ivy:
The unit was raised in October 1900, by Gen. Robert Baden-Powell (later of
Boy Scout fame.)
In addition to 4000 British recruits, 1248 SAC men were recruited in Canada.

Listers,
Could you help in locating this place. I know it's in Pretoria and it was a
Concentration Camp build in 1902.
