1. [SACKETT] Nancy SACKETT & Joel HART [1]
Does anyone know if any of the descendants of Joel HART & Nancy (SACKETT) HART went to Macomb County, MI? I just found a cemetery in Chesterfield Twp., Macomb County, MI called the Hart Cemetery, and there are a couple of Joel Harts buried there; I wondered if they could be descended from Nancy Sackett Hart. Thanks. Kathy

Kathy, I found this Joel Hart in Chesterfield Twp, Macomb County MI in the 1850, 1860, 1870, 1880 census. I have e-mailed a descendent of this Joel Hart to find out if they knew who they descended from. Also, the information that I received a few months ago from Vermont, was a repeat of information that we already have. I broke a bone in my right arm in the elbow so have not been able to get much typing done. Sandy ----- Original Message ----- From: Kathy Campbell

Actually, there is a correction in the line that needs to be made. My gr gr grandmother, Avis Catharine Perrin Morris. The Sackett site has her middle name spelled incorrectly. The copies of documents that I have - marriage register, death cert, etc. - all show her legal name as Avis Catharine. She did go by Katie among family, however. Thank you! Sandra, I have found the WW1 draft card for Asa Morris on Ancestry.com and will add it to our records. Please email me with any additional data or corrections on your member page or on your Sackett line. There is not an interactive way for members to update the website directly. Information sent to our historian Thurmon King or to me as webmaster will find its way to the website. Information can, of course, also be shared on this list. I update the website on or about the last day of each month, and updat

Chris - I have an image of my gr grandfather's, Asa John Morris, WWI Draft registration card. What file type or other information do you require to include it in the Sacket Family database? Also, I can no longer locate the instructions I was sent in regards to updating my member profile on the site. Could that info be resent to me? Thanks much! My message stated that I had deleted one of MY email accounts. It has nothing to do with anyone's subscription to the SACKETT mailing list. The reason I deleted my Yahoo account is the fact that I started receiving scam emails that used that email address as part of the Subject line and implied that I approved of their scam. I couldn't get Yahoo to do anything about it so I deleted the account. Regards, Thurmon Mildred Thomas wrote: > I didn't understand the email you sent to me, about Taken me off

I would like to welcome new member # 435, Ansley Sackett. One thing I really like about writing these welcome notes is the opportunity to look at the ancestry of the new member, if given. I know some of you have asked how I know about the new members, so I thought I'd let you in on my secret. It's Jean! Yes, she sends me a copy of her note to the new member. Hi Richard! There's just a whole big BUNCH of us from this line!! Jean Carpenter, Thurmon King, Ted Smith, Anne Murray and Steve Barbee pop to mind immediately. They follow the line until reaching Cyrus Sackett and Nancy Anne Stapleton (I believe they all branch there, but I may be off on some of them). Can you follow the line that far?
