married 20 Oct 1870 in Monroe Co MS to Alice Miles, and died 1 Jan 1900 in
Yell Co Arkansas. I've been unable to locate him in any census years
earlier than 1880. I know that his mother was named Nancy, and that he had
a sister named Amanda E. born about 1837 in AL or MS (she married James P

Hello to All,
It's good to see all the posting of interests so I will add mine. I posted
this message last year, but have added some new information.
I have been working on my 4x great grandfather Thomas Salter and his
descendants very seriously for the last four years. My goal is to locate any
of his living descendants.
If any list members connect anywhere into this family, I would like to hear
from you. Thanks for reading through to the end of the message.
Thomas became a Quaker as did his daughter

Looking for parents, siblings, etc, of Violet Salter. I know nothing about her except for the fact that she married on April 11, 1795 (bond date) in Orange Co. NC. to David Hinchey (Hinchy) (Hinchee). Bondsman was Ezekiel Hinchy, Witness A. B. Bruce. Violet and David went from NC to Henry County, Tennessee and Violet was living with her daughter 1850 census Henry Co.
Any help appreciated.
