I am researching my gggrandmother Sarah E. SAMPLES. She married James McKINNEY pre Civil War. My ggrandmother, their daughter was Lydia McKINNEY. She married Thomas Cowan BROWN, Jr. in Jackson County, TN. I have as Sarah's siblings Noah, Joseph (married Agnes Knapp), Nannie (married James Veteto Carter), Nora, Ann (married unk Jones) and Martha A. (married Frank R. Pursley).
