My nephew attended a burial at a small family cemetery recently and noted
that there were about nine or ten Sanders names on the stones there. The
cemetery is known as the Graham-Robinson Cemetery and is located about 15
miles from Wythville, VA. He has the names on the stones and can give
directions if anyone is interested. Contact me.

The SANDERS chat was a great success--I'd say 20 to 25 people stopped
in.....maybe more. Some came and went. (the best way to make a match is to
STAY the entire time!) Since the response was so good--I'm extending Friday
nights in MARCH to the SANDERS surname. As long as interest stays high, you
can have that time slot. So--mark your calendars!

many responses. Send your queries to me as part of an e-mail message.

Hi, SANDERS cousins:
I had decided to cancel the Friday SANDERS chat because I felt the same
people were coming and not finding any more helpful information. However,
I've had several emails from people who were not able to get online for some
reason (not sure if it was their end or our end!). Any how, I've already
given the SANDERS family Friday night spot to NATIVE AMERICAN chat (do come
if you've got NA in your trees!).
For the rest of March, I will give the SANDERS a Sunday night spot--hope

Hi, Jean and the List:
I don't want you to get the wrong impression. I am not an expert on the
Sanders/Saunders lines. I publish SANDERS SIFTINGS as a vehicle to
facilitate the exchange of Sanders/Saunders information and to get people
together who can help one another with their family history research. I do
have quite a bit of information on the Sanders in Jackson County, Alabama,
and where they went because my line is tied in there. I have found out

their site, but in approx three months I have had 811 hits.

I'm deliberating whether or not to publish my
family tree on one of the free pages like
Ancestry.com or Fam. Treemaker -- or
possibly both. I'd like to hear comments from
some of you who have such sites. Are they
helpful? Bring in visitors with leads? Intruders?
I'm wondering if giving a URL in a query would
make connections easier to understand?
I'm thinking if I have an on site reference I could

pedigree over and over ad nauseum every time

NANCY,
I think these sites are great, and I have submitted quite a bit of my information purposely to help others. I am not interested in compiling and selling a book, so I am more than willing to share my family histories with anyone who cares to look at them. I have checked out hundreds of other peoples sites and they have been extremely helpful. BUT, the one thing you have to ALWAYS remember is what you find may or may not be proven. I always check with the person who submitted the info

when Augustus moved his family to OH. They were all in Monroe Co. IA in the

If you know of any of these people please contact me.

Social Security was set up by FDR in the mid 1930s (1936 or 1937, I
