1. [SCHORRY-L] PRINCE/HOLT connection [1]
I am researching Sintha or Sinthey Prince b. abt 1858 d. abt 1900 Horry Co SC first wife of Thomas Benjamin Holt, Jr. b. 1852 d. 1937. I am trying to find out who Sintha Prince's parents were. A family story relates that a couple of years aft Sintha's death two of their children, Mary Louvinia and Benjamin Mayo went to live with Sintha's sister, Mary Ann Prince. The story mentions Mary Ann's son Fletcher and his wife, Golda. There is info that Sintha was the daughter of Alva Prince and Molcey Powel
2. Re: [SCHORRY-L] James THOMAS/ Horry Co. ca. 1800-1837 [1]
In 1800 it would have been Waccamaw District if east of the river and Kingston if west of the river. In 1810 the entire county becomes Horry. I would suggest that it might be Little River Twp or Simpson's Creek Twp. Hope this is helpful. 7. Re: [SCHORRY-L] PRINCE/HOLT connection--Scintha Prince [1]
In the 1870 Census of Horry County, Green Sea District, pg 103, family 1072, there is Franklin Prince age 26 farmer and Nancy A. age 26 female at home followed by Cornelius age 17, Scintha age 13 F, John age 8, Daniel age 6, Armajah age 5 and Neidon age 3/12 M. I would say that most of these are siblings of Franklin Prince rather than children. Hope this helps you some. Linda Cox McNish ----- Original Message ----- From: "Diane Bryant" To: Sent: April 09, 2

14. [SCHORRY-L] [NC-SC] MICAJAH - North Carolina [1]
I think I have answered my own question???!!! Possibly the "Lived with Sarah Bright as a Micajah" is an error of transcription - "Lived with Sarah Byrd as a minor"! See "Josiah M. Brown entry" and "Josiah M. Willner entry". ...{:) { "minor" mispelled as "Micajah" ...{:) } What a piece of work???!!! ...{:) You'all have a good day!!! 15. Re: [SCHORRY-L] Clemmons Family [1]
John Clemmons was born about late 1800. He owned a farm and lived in SC on S C Hwy 410, from Green Sea SC to Tabor City, NC. One of his dau married one of my cousins. His sons, I believe were also farmers, when married they settled in that same general area. I have nothing on other descendants. I hope this helps. Ernest T. Diane, I am of the Lott Prince family. He was my GGG-grandfather. I do have the Sintha listed as the wife of Nicholas R. Prince who is the s/o Nicholas R, and Jemima Prince. I do not have any info on Sintha's family and in fact have her last name as ??. I have been on the SCHORRY list for about 2 years and I don't often see anything on our line of Princes. If there was, maybe I missed it. In the 1880 Horry Census there is a Cynthia Fowler listed in the household of John E. Prince. I hav
19. [SCHORRY-L] Horry County Johnson / Johnston families [1]
Hi everyone, I've just finished making some major updates to my Johnson web pages. I had not done much with them in the past, other than have an outline of my own two Johnson lines (one from Marion, one from Horry). I have just completed a small project where I created pages for each Johnson family that was listed on the 1850 census in Horry. I've included all the documentation that I currently have available. I've used the 1790-1870 census records, and the online cemetery records (from Horry County Histo
