MARION -- Mrs. Gretelle M. Miller, 91, died Sunday night, Sept. 1, at Marion Nursing Center after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at Ebenezer Southern Methodist Church, directed by Richardson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Latta. The family will receive friends Tuesday at night from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Miller was born in Dillon County, a daughter of the late Harvey L. Meggs and
Probably Cousin Patrick actually. He's the active Coxe researcher in
Marlboro. Our Coxe line comes from John James Coxe
born April 28, 1828 near Brownsville.

The mother church is Welsh Neck Church. The Welsh Baptist in Pennsylvania sent colonist to the upper Pee Pee River, which was just being colonized in the 1730's, from the Welsh Church in what is now Pencader, Maryland. The initial granted site for them to colonize was near the present community of Pee Dee in present Dillon

Beatrice H. Barber
LAURINBURG - Mrs. Beatrice H. Barber, 81, of 808 Cypress Drive, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2002, in Scotland Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Barber worked for J.P. Stevens before retiring and was a Red Cross Gray Lady volunteer.
A graveside service was conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Old Hillside Cemetery by the Rev. Lewis McLean. Arrangements were handled by Boles Funeral Home & Crematory.
