I'm sure your Lewis Scribner is not my father...or I pretty sure.
Anyway, your mention of diabetes reminded me that my grandfather, Herbert
Scribner was a twin, and his brother Hiram Joseph died of diabetes. My
father's siblings primarily died of stroke or heart attack, and my father
(Lewis) had thyroid surgery before his stroke at age 67. I have done a
medical family tree and now I know that I am very lucky to be around at 76.
