Hello from Australia. Jean CUNNING was born in Dunfermline on 22 Mar 1795,
the daughter of William and Christian (nee DRUMMOND).
Jean married William COWIE in Dunfermline on 20 Dec 1825.
Is anyone researching this line?
Cheers, Bob
Thanks for that Evelyn. It could be my Christina, but will need to check up
on her marriage on Scotlands People at home.

If your Rev. was listed at the Parish Church Manse - then he was a minister
in the established church ie. the Church of Scotland.

I would think that this is a birth record since no doctor is listed or cause
of death is listed. It does show both parents so he must have acknowledged
the child as his. It is like one I have from Perth.

To Ian Scott:
Helen Reid's post reminded me that I had intended to reply to your
message of 31 July.
I am descended from the sister of James Fergus REID, Agnes REID, who
married Alexander HEPBURN in Edinburgh on 15 March 1793, although both
were from Abbotshall. Their youngest child, William HEPBURN, was my gg-
grandfather.
We probably have the same REID family details, but I would be interested to
make sure we both have the same information. The parents were George
REID and Janet ROSS. I've been able
