Jim, I've seen your struggle to find a place to stay in Union. Go out the hwy going NW out of town, its a 4 lane going to Spartanburg. Just outside of town there are quite a few really nice motels. We stayed there last year. At this time of year, you should not have any trouble finding a vacancy. And by the way the liberary there is very helpful. Good luck.....Wanda

There are two new (less than 2 year old) motels in Union. Both appear to be relatively nice.

Thanks Tammy, We settled on the Holiday Inn Express off of I76. If it were just my husband and I, I think I would like to stay in a B&B, but I will have my children with me and that can be a bit much. B J

No yet, I have called the courthouse and the library, but not sure of the hotel. There are only 2 listed for Union. Do you know which on is better or should I pass of them both and stay in Clinton or Spartenburg?

There is a fabulous Bed and Breakfast in Union the name is The Inn at Merridun - 864-427-7052. They are wonderful - My brother and his wife know them well.
