I am looking for Stewart Groesbeck who applied for a Civil War Pension and Mary Groesbeck who applied for a Civil War Widows Pension from South Dakota. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Have come across a Thomas Farsdal, as coming out of Trondheim, which is just west of Meraker, and he emigrated to Sioux Falls, SD. Any one heard of this name (or spellings) before?? HI, I dont have alot of information, but my grandmother Virginia Mae Kyle was born Jan 28, 1932 in Pierre, South Dakota. Im looking for information on her parents. Dear List Members, I have an obituary for my great uncle which says his sister who survived him, Mrs. A.P. Brende, lived in Rener, South Dakota. I am unable to find Rener using any of the numerous resources I have. Does anyone know where this town is or was? Thanks. Regards, Judy McIntyre

Thank you to everyone who took the time to answer my question about Rener, SD. I now know why I couldn't find it....there is no such place at least spelled the way it was in the obituary I was using as a reference. I now know the correct name is Renner and where it is. I am looking for anyone with Hendrix relatives in SD and in IA near the SD border. My gg grandfather, Barney HENDRIX (nickname), was born in MI in 1873. He married Jenny Mae BATCHELDER in Elk Point, SD. His parents, John and Catherine, were from Ireland. Catherine died during childbirth and John soon married Bridget.
