Most obituaries are not indexed. Thus, you need to provide an exact date of death in order for anyone to go through the old newspapers for an obituary. Have you checked the 1905 state census to see whether George COOPER was living then? That is available at the State Historical Library, 900 Governors Drive, Pierre, SD

Would someone be willing to look up the obituary for George W. Cooper. He lived and died in White Lake SD. Or, perhaps someone can tell me the name of the newspaper that serviced the White Lake area around the turn of the century. Thank you for any help.
Ann

Thank you for the great information you sent me. The only information on George's death is that he die about 1901. I will have to take your other suggestion and try and find his exact date of death. Thanky again, Ann

Marilyn,
Thanks so much for the information about Bristol. With that bit of data I was able to locate the family in the 1900 census in just a few minutes. I thought they were in Plankinton and had been unsuccessful locating them.

You can find the family on FamilySearch database of the 1880 Census, Dallas, Crawford Co., OH, where Samuel STUCK indicated that his parents were born in Pennsylvania. A different Samuel in Pennsylvania indicated his parents were born in Louderback (?).
You can find the location of their homesteads online at the GLORec
