RootsWeb is moving our list to a new server. The only effect we should see is a slight delay on the day that they actually move this list. If you post a message and don't see it right away, give it up

Hi I was trying to find information on James Senn and his wife Eliza Spires both born about 1822. I found them listed in the 1850 Lexington County,South Carolina Census with the name misspelled as James Seen/Sen. They had three children
Caroline Elvira Senn born May 9, 1841. Thomas Howard Senn born Sept 15,1853 and William Senn born 1848. Does anyone have any info on this Senn family ??
Thankyou,
My grandfather, Shelby Senn, married an "Eaton" in/near the town of
"English", IN and My grandmother (Eaton) is related to Francis Eaton who came
over on the Mayflower.....so does the Senn family not only prefer "English"
names but also prefer to marry "English" spouses ?
Hi Carry, the little girl drinking milk , can you tell me if this calendar has a
place where it was made or disturbed ? in Iowa, Portland, Or. or Mo., or IL., my
family had Dairy's in the different area's and I don't remember what the dates
were for the California one's but they also had milk crates with Senn Dairy and
other things with the name on them, if the girl has blond curly hair its me, I was
always told this but have yet to see one. Thank you for any info on this.
Sincerely,
Sandee Senn Cliburn
Hi all,
I have a document, in German, sent to me by the very generous and kind
Silvia Senn in Switzerland, which is a origin/history of the Senn name and
family. I have been struggling to translate this via the free translation
services on the Net, but there is obviously a loss in translation. If anyone
is interested in having a copy of this, and/or translating it, please let me
know and I will be happy to pass the information along.
I also have a calendar I found on ebay, which is imprinted with "Senn
has anyone noticed the SENN family likes to name their children JOHN,
WILLIAM,CHARLES,
FREDERICK and ROBERT!!
It looks like every branch of the family uses those names and not very many
other names

My Senn family was in Brooklyn and then Weehawken, NJ . My father's name

My Uncle has certainly kept the William strong. All of my cousins have
William for their middle name as does my Uncle and my brother. As for me I
am Robert Edward.
Hi Kerry,
I would love to have a copy. I took German in school. I still have the
books. Maybe I can help some.

I know that's a lot, but there sometimes is no shortcut. Check with Rootsweb.com and see if they have a regional board for Joplin, MO. I bet they d
