Has anyone run across this name while researching? McLysaght says it is most common in Clare. Have any Clare researchers out there found this to be so? Anyone got a FENNELL lurking in their tree? My Christopher came to Brooklyn NY sometime around the Famine (tho he isn't listed in The Famine Immigrants). I haven't done much on this line of mine, but am curious as to where it is mostly found. Janet My husband has this in his line. His ancestors (to date) came from County Waterford (FALVEY, POWER, ROCKETT). What I have is the following: John CAVANAGH, m. 13 October 1841, Parish of Portlaw, Co. Waterford, Ireland, Margaret FENNELL. She was b. May of 1816. She d. 11 October 1908 in Fall River, Massachusetts. Her father was: John FENNELL; mother: Margaret CODY. That is all I have. Don't know if they match up with you or not. Janice

Hi folks, This is for anyone who was interested in military records in Massachusetts. I just got off the phone with the Adjutant Generals Office in Boston where records are kept. They told me that they have send all inactive files to Worcester. I told him I was looking for WWI records and he said there weren't but a few WWI's left alive. Hi. My grandma Boland was the daughter of Patrick J.Boland and Margaret P. Coffee. Both her parents were born in Ireland and census records indicate that Patrick [b 1853] immigrated in 1860 at the age of 7, so I assume that he came with his parents. Margaret Coffee [b Feb 1864] immigrated in 1880, age 16...so she might have travelled without her parents? However, both Patrick and Margaret were in Compton California and married with 7 children all born in California according to the 1900 census.

I have exhausted the holdings of the LDS Family History Center and have corresponded with Armagh Ancestry in Armagh, NI for further info regarding the Lurgan area Quakers.
