Does anyone have anything on ANY Kelchner's, I know they were suppose to
have been in Shenandoah Co. VA in the 1700's but can not find anything
on them until they appeared in CO in the late 1800's, would like to know
where they went and something about them when they were in Shenandoah.
Thanks for anything you can share.
Some CRAWFORDs and SHULERs who were in SE OH in the early 1800's appear to
trace back to Rockingham Co VA and possibly up-valley from there. I would
like to compare information with anyone researching these surnames.

I need to ask for help from any on you who have marriage records for WVA or
VA. Walter DAVIS md Rosannah DOAK md about 1760 in Augusta Co VA. They are
not in the published Augusta Co marriages. I don't have a map of Va in 1760
and I know that at one time Augusta Co covered a very large area. If anyone
has marriage records, I would appreciate a lookup for this marriage. This
wouldn't be the first time family history was wrong! :)
Thank you very much!

Seek any information on the family of William WINTON who was in Shenandoah
Valley, Va in 1780's til ? Rev. John WINTON married Arabella CUNNINGHAM
there. Possibly Wm's son George WINTON was born there. When did this
family leave this region for Tennessee? Did Wm die in Virginia or did he
and wife, Betsey go with the family to Tennessee?

www.Kalglo.com/Kerchner.htm
He had a lot of info on Kerchner in shenandoah and PA plus connects to
Bahr/Barr family in PA and VA.

Hi!
I visited the Mill Creek Cemetary this afternoon and there are a lot of
the Obenchain/Obenshain decendents buried there. I found a James T.
Obenshain, Cary B. Obenshain, Samuel Obenchain, and more. I am
interested in the decendents/ancestors of Cary B Obenshain. At this
point I am trying to verify information on birth/death/marriage etc. I
do have some information dating back to 1578 that I will be happy to
share.

Heinrich WILHELM arrived in Philadelphia on the Queen Elizabeth on 9-16-1738
and proceeded to the Shenandoah Valley. His wife was Anna Elizabeth PREISCH-
PRICE. I do not know the date or place of their marriage. Evidence indicates
that he died in the Valley in the mid 1750's. (The Augusta Parish Vestry Book
shows that Philip, orphan, was bound to Augustine Price on 8-16-1758.) Exact
date and place of death and burial not known by me.
I would appreciate help in determining these things if at all possible.

I am looking for any SITES families which may have settled in any of the above
counties in the late 1700s. This family is heavy into West Virginia counties
and upper Shenandoah Valley (Rockingham, Shenandoah, etc.) but I need to know
if they are anywhere between Rockingham County and Washington County, TN.
Specifically looking for a Sarah SITES who would have been ca. twenty yrs. old
in 1810 to 1812. More specifically looking for a marriage between her and
Isaac Hunter in the same time frame.
Thanks
Tracy

Hello!
Jacob Cupp m. Sibby Breeding June 10, 1788 in Shenandoah Co. They sold their
land in VA in 1808, and in 1817 were living in Claiborne Co., TN, near
Tazewell. It would probably have been Hawkins Co. in 1817, since Claiborne
was formed in 1838.
Jacob and Sibby had 11 children. They left Claiborne Co. after the 1840
census, and in 1850 were in Laurel Co., KY living with Martin S. and Adeline
Cupp Edwards.
It is assumed that Adeline was a daughter.
Recently, I found this posting on Genweb:
