David Sherman born 11 Sep 1797 died Apr 1898 married

I found David and Ruby in the 1855 census for Ellicott,

Have been on the Sherman list just watching for a long time (several
months) and have not seen where anyone is looking for Shermans from Iowa.
I am looking for a Lucius A. Sherman b. Jul 25 1862 in IA. He is my gg
grandfather. His father I believe was William Sherman, also born in IA.
Can anyone help me find a connection to William born in Iowa? Thanks Donna

Hello to all and particularly those who are kind enough to do "lookups"
<>:
I am hoping that it is appropriate to "resend" this query to the group. I
requested lookup help in January and I have not received any offer for
assistance. Not knowing how long it takes for any help to be received, I
thought that my email had possibly "slipped" by.
I am very appreciative to those who offer to help those of us who are
struggling, either healthwise, financially, or both, and who are not able to
get out
For those of you who like short cuts to searches the way I do, here are
some tricks that USGenWeb Project members have come up with for search

these examples are for that state, but you can substitute any state,
county and city, as well as surname.
To get the search for a particular county's Social
Security Death Index (SSDI) quickly use the following URLs for Rhode
Island. You will get a page of listings for the letter A with links t
