1736 is a little early for most of the Shirer clan to be in that area. As much data as I have on the Shirers and Scheurers, none are identified as being whitesmiths. There were two tinsmiths around the turn of the twentieth century in Oakland, Md, in fact the shop was named the "Shire

I have found a pewter spoon on a site dating back to 1736 near Susquehanna River in PA and it seems to have the name SHREIRER ???? (4 I can't read) embossed on the back. I was wondering if anyone has info about a possible whitesmith Shreirer in the PA area.
