Hi Kay, My SIMONS (Although it was somtimes, back them, spelled with the double "m") comes from Sussex. Around Woodbridge. Do you think any of yours come from around there? Have you found any SUMMERS in your tree. I have a Lydia SIMONS who was born SUMMERS in Woodbridge. Hi all I have just joined the Simmons list and thought I would post my interest. It is mainly around the Lewes area of Sussex [villages of Iford and Rodmell included] Eastbourne and Aldingbourne, Eastergate, Yapton area of what is now West Sussex. I will try and help anyone if their Simmons family comes from these area. Kay

Lee, Sorry, I have not come across any members of my family in the Woodbridge area, nor any Summers yet. I must admit I have not thought of the name Summers being a variant of Simmons.
