Also at a standstill. It is believed my great-grandfather was Robert Sneed. He had five children who split up and went to Kentucky, Illinois, and Missouri. It is believed he came from South Carolina but at what point it is unclear. Can find no record of his death or where he resided at the time of death. Another Sneed descendant has brought to my attention an egregious error on my part. I take full responsibility and should not rely so much on my memory, which grows more faulty with age. Robert Sharp Sneed was NOT a son of William and Elizabeth Sneed. He was a son of Zachariah and Martha (Nance) Sneed. I will post information regarding Robert Sharp Sneed in the near future. I am Janie Sneed, Bill Sneed's wife. Due to Bill's battle with Alzheimer's he's often confused and his confusion upsets him. He's upset about recent postings he has made . I wish to provide accurate information regarding Robert Sharp Sneed (b. Jan. 23, 1760) and his parents, Zachariah and Martha (Nance) Sneed. The following entry was found in an old Bible which originally belonged to Robert Sharp Sneed (b. Jan. 23, 1760) and which was in the possession of a descendant when it was copied in 1941. I am most interested in your SNEED history. I am at a total standstill on the SNEED's in Graniteville SC in the 1850's. My ancesters were William Sneed married to Nancy _______ they had a daughter named Gracie and a son named William Robert who married Sallie Ann Cullum of landed gentry.
