Seeking any information regarding Divinity (aka Vinity) Snead. She was born 1852-1853 in Georgia (probably Henry County). Her parents were most likely Samuel S. and Mary (Pew) Snead. She was living in Cherokee County, AL at the time of the 1860 US Census and later in Morgan County, AL at the time of the 187
Thanks,
I have pages from a book ANCESTORS AND DESCENDANTS OF BENJAMIN SNEAD
AND FELICIA OLIVER. My Evan Snead is listed in this book but he is not tied to
any specific Snead, only conjecture. I'll try to find the book you are talking about.

Hi.
There may be no connection but there also could be.
I have a "Granville" Farris, born 1804 in Albemarle Co., VA. His mother was
Susannah Sneed, who was married to George M. Faris/Farris in Albemarle Co.,
VA, in 1797. The family moved to the St. Louis, MO area about 1811.
The naming of a son as Granville (various spellings) would appear to be more
than coincidence in view of the Granville Snead.
Would you share what you have on .Granville Snead? I'll also share if you
see a link.
Thanks, Trueman Farris.

Hello,
May I ask for a look up in your book? Do you have a Patrick Henry Snead
in your book? He lived back in the mid 1800's in French Village, Missouri.
One of his son's was William J. Snead who married Catherine Reed. Their
daughter was Mary Josephine Snead.

Hello,
There is a book on the Sneads in Virginia. I read it on microfilm at
the Latter Day Saints Family History Center. It gives all the early Sneads
and their children. Check it out.

I am trying to locate the generations and proofs from Samuel & Alice's arrival
in Jamestown in 1635 to Evan Snead born about 1748 in VA.
OR William Snead arrived in 1619 on board the Bona Nova. Does Evan
Snead descend from this William instead of Samuel and Alice?
I am wanting to join the Jamestown Society but I must fill in the blanks to Evan.
Please, please can anyone help me??
Thanks!

I too am looking for Sneed Descendants. Anderson Sneed born around 1826. Was married to Elizabeth Howard. Was told his father was Anderson Sneed as well and he married a Hetta Sanders. Would they be listed in the book you have?
Thanks,
