Hello Dennis, In my copy of Aided immigration, The note on Samuel Scott states that he was indeed a constable at Katberg and gives a Cape archive reference of CO802. I to have a need for information regarding this institution as I am looking for details of a George Pitt who was also there in 1862! So we seek similar interests in that score.
