2. Insurance [1]
Sorry people - this has nothing to do with genealogy - but something you might think about - I just ran off some that said he was from my insurance Co. and wanted to take a picture of my roof - I know this is the way it is done - but why, with as much we pay the insurance co.'s - can't they make a call and let you/me know they are coming? Most of us live on what we believe to be our own homes - and I never found in the fine print that they could come onto private proberty without the owner's permission -

Hi Christine, The Redstone area of PA was mentioned in passing seveal times in the Stewart Clan Magazine. Please see my website http://users.hol.gr/~mkyritsi/ and check out the Index of Places. There are also a lot of wives with the last name Norris in the Index of Spouses which might give you a lead. 5. Re: Mary - dau. Robert STUART & Martha RICHARDSON [1]
Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. In the SCM there is no sign of Henry, but Robert is mentioned on B115,116,G199 -- i.e. he is in italics on the B115 listing of children of Robert and Martha Richardson, and on B116: "Robert3 Stewart is not know to have been a son of Robert and Martha. The compiler of 'The Descendants of Joel Baily' found some evidence that there was a son Robert. Hello, Terry NY 177- s.Phin/MaryE.-- A23(not s.Sam),198 The first page reference on A23 (Dec 1922) gives erroneous information that Terry's father "probably" was Samuel Stewart, and it was taken from the Elliott Stewart manuscript of the Stewarts of East Haddam CT. The reference on A198 is one of June 1926, Vol IV No. 12, and is part of the work of Horace W. Dickerman of New Haven, CT, on the descendants of Lt.William Stewart of Stonington, CT. 18. Re: James Stewart [1]
Hi Sue, The Stewarts of Ballintoy do have some lines that ended up in New Jersey. They are a relatively well documented line that originated on the Isle of Bute, Scotland, and went to Ireland long before the Plantation of 1610. The references you have: A188: Refers to a query for information on William Stewart of Hackettstown NJ, b. about 1739, who came with his brothers Archibald and James from Ballintoy, Co. Antrim and d. 17 Feb 1810 in Hackettstown. His first wife was Frances SHERROD, by whom he had
19. Stuart's from Mary, Queen of Scots [1]
I am also looking for information on the Stuart family decending from Mary, Queen of Scots. One thing that my Grandmother told me was that these particular Stuarts were Catholic whereas the other Stuarts and Stewarts were Protestant. She said that many of them migrated to Nova Scotia to avoid religios persecution in Scotland. My Great-Great-grandmother's name was Christianne Stuart from Nova Scotia, probably from around Sydney Mines. She was married to Charles Edward Bown. They had nine children and my

Mary, Wow, thanks alot for the information. There's a connection all right. Lucinda and Henry Allen Race had 3 children, Mary, Carrie Elizabeth and George Henry.
