For those who are researching Stewarts in Northern Ireland I have two bits of
information. First, Liam McFaul, liam@pi.net, maintains a list of people
interested in County Antrim research. You might add your name to his list.
Second, I am forwarding something I got last year on Stewarts moving from
Scotland to Ireland.

I know a lot of you don't like other subjects to be brought up on a
genealogy list, but I'll try to do it nicely and briefly (nice isn't my
natural state).
I'm interested in genetics; all the Stewarts in my family have very blue
eyes, wavy blondish hair; they're all friendly and easy going, and tho'
highly intelligent, never adopt a "superior' attitude. (Wish i'd got more
of their genes).
Question: Do any of you find these same traits in your Stewarts? Or do you
think I'm just being imaginitive? Thank

William Steuart/Stewart was supposedly born in Scotland around 1732. He
was a well-educated man and became a schoolteacher in Virginia after his
plans for entering a profession were dashed when pirates took all his
possessions, including his books, when he was on his way here off the
Virginia coast and left him on the beach with only a piece of canvas cloth.
I have two questions:
Is there a particular Stewart line that favored the "Steuart" spelling?
Are there records for Scottish Universities from

you can *know* that this on-line service has information about your
ancestor. And if we do not have anything, you can be the first to
supply your GedCom, and make this service even more valuable to
